Written in the stars...

// written in the stars.. a million miles away//

I know what you all are thinking "oh no, she is one of these people who think she can see names and words and stuff written in the stars!", but I am not like that. Now don't get me wrong I love stars and I believe in inspiration, but I am not a crazy little girl! Tonight I was looking out the window up to the sky, which had almost no stars in it, but the song Written in the stars by Tinie Tempah came to my mind. All I know are the Lyrics listed above, but I still think the name is just plain ol' cool. Whom ever sings it has a unique name! So do me a favor and take a look at the stars, oh and look up the song!

Have a great week!

It's your life

Yes, Yes it is. It's not someone else's, it's yours, so live it to the fullest. Lately, I have been hooked on The song It's your life by Franchesca Battistelli after I went and saw Soul Surfer and it played that song at the end. If you are not familiar with Franchesca Battistelli she is an amazing Christian Singer. This would be the song:

Daddy's Poem

I found this poem and thought it was so sweet!

                                 Daddy's poem

Her hair was up in a pony tail, her favorite dress tied with a bow.

Today was Daddy's Day at school, and she couldn't wait to go.

But her mommy tried to tell her, that she probably should stay home.

Why the kids might not understand, if she went to school alone.

But she was not afraid; she knew just what to say.

What to tell her classmates of why he wasn't there today.

But still her mother worried, for her to face this day alone.

And that was why once again, she tried to keep her daughter home.

But the little girl went to school, eager to tell them all.

About a dad she never sees, a dad who never calls.

There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet.

Children were squirming impatiently, anxious in their seats.

One by one the teacher called, a student from the class, to introduce their daddy.

As seconds slowly passed, at last the teacher called her name,

every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching,

for a man who wasn't there. "Where's her daddy at?"

she heard a boy call out. "She probably doesn't have one,"

another student dared to shout. And from somewhere near the back,

she heard a daddy say, "Looks like another deadbeat dad,

too busy to waste his day. "The words did not offend her,

as she smiled up at her Mom. And looked back at her teacher,

who told her to go on. And with hands behind her back, slowly she began to speak.

And out from the mouth of a child, came words incredibly unique.

"My Daddy couldn't be here, because he lives so far away.

But I know he wishes he could be, since this is such a special day.

And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know.

All about my daddy, and how much he loves me so. He loved to tell me stories

he taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses, and taught me to fly a kite.

We used to share fudge sundaes, and ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him,

I'm not standing here alone. "Cause my daddy's always with me, even though we are apart.

I know because he told me, he'll forever be in my heart. " With that, her little hand reached up,

and lay across her chest. Feeling her own heartbeat, beneath her favorite dress.

And from somewhere in the crowd of dads, her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching

her daughter, who was wise beyond her years. For she stood up for the love

of a man not in her life. Doing what was best for her, doing what was right.

And when she dropped her hand back down, staring straight into the crowd,

she finished with a voice so soft, but its message clear and loud. "I love my daddy very much,

he's my shining star. And if he could, he'd be here, but heaven's just too far!

You see he was a fireman and died just this past year

when airplanes hit the towers and taught Americans to fear.

"But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away."

And then she closed her eyes, and saw him there that day. And to her mother's amazement,

she witnessed with surprise, a room full of daddies and children,

all starting to close their eyes. Who knows what they saw before them, who knows what they felt inside.

Perhaps for merely a second, they saw him at her side. "I know you're with me Daddy,"

to the silence she called out. And what happened next made believers, of those once filled with doubt.

Not one in that room could explain it, for each of their eyes had been closed.

But there on the desk beside her, was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.

And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, by the love of her shining bright star.

And given the gift of believing, that heaven is never too far.

They say it takes a minute to find a special

person, an hour to appreciate them,

a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them..

Isn't it sweet?

Simple Elegance

That's what spring is. I know that we have had more showers and storms this spring than sunshine, but still its Simple Elegance. Have I mentioned before that spring is a wonderful season, just the right tempature and a good mix of rain and sunshine. Today was one of the sunshine days, so I took advantage of that and snapped these!

Oh, did I mention I am obsessed with swings? I just love them! Their just so.... simply elegant!
Ahhhhh.... another swing! I am obsessed! (By the way I had like 10 more pictures of swings, but decided that would be WAY to many swings!)
                                                           SIMPLY. ELEGANT. PERIOD.

Ok see if you can find the word on this picture! I love how random objects can make letters!

Happy Wednesday!

Awnsers for all.....

Horsefeathers (ofhorsefeathers.blogspot.com) is having a BLOG PARTY! I am very excited! So, I will most likely be entering, but first I will have to awnser a few questions!

1.Favorite season, and why?
I have to say summer. Why? You ask? , because NO school, my blond comes back our from underneath my Dirty-Dishwater Brown Hair left behind by Winter, and that I can pretty much see my friends whenever.

2. How would you describe your personal style?
Modern Chic with a drizzle of vintage. Most of my clothes are bought out of the store new, but some I get from 2nd hand stores or outlets. I guess I am always on the hunt for a bargain.

3. What's one weird thing you can do?
If you tie my hands behind by back as tight as you can get them I can still go under my feet to get them to the front. Maybe I can do this so if I am ever in a crisis, I may can escape!

4. Rain or shine?
I have to say shine! Rain is so dreary, and tiring, so defiantly shine!

5. Confession time.. what is one flaw of yours?
I can be very over persistant! I have heard it from lots of friends, I guess some people could say that it is great, but really it's not.

6. Favorite Music?
I have to say Classic Rock or Pop, I just can't decide. I love Ke$ha and Jason Derulo, but I can't stand Rihannah, so I guess it's a tie!

7.Have you ever made a decision you instantly regretted? What was it?
Yep. I decided when I was about 7 that I could run do a cartwheel onto a table, a cartwheel on the table, and then one off the table. I did good until the part of doing one on the table, yeah I fell straight on my face on concrete!

8.Who do you admire/look up to?
My Best Friend, Abby. She is fashionable, fun, awesome, and shares the same dreams I do!

9. You have just won an unlimited lifetime supply of .... what?
Clothes, all kinds. Vintage, rock, cowgirlish, cute, whatever! Oh that would be awesome!

10. If you were an animal what would you be?
An Owl. I just love them. They are just plain CUTE! I would also like the sleeping during the day and being awake during the night!

I would travel the world to all country's, and Isalnds I could find! Also I would spend as much time as possible with the people I love!

12. Your now a Gazillionaire, where do you go to spend your money?
Stores! Look for clothes, shoes, makeup, vinatge, and of course a new camera. Then give some money to charities.

13.Classical music: Love it or Hate it?
I don" hate it, but I defianetly do not love it! I guess I can tolerate it.

14. Phobias?
When someone has on a necklace and the latch is right in the frount, I just want to go over to where they are and fix it! It drives me crazy!

15.Hop on a plane and go live somewhere for a year.. where is it and why?
South West Florida. I would Love to go live there for a year because I Have always lived absolutely NO WHERE near sun and sand! I would ahev to fly back periodically to see family and friends though!

16. Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
 Extrovert.
